LOMA X4 X-RAY MACHINE

• Detecting metal, glass, stone, bone, and dense plastics in packaged food products.
• Inspecting products for missing components or incorrect fill levels.
• Ensuring product integrity and safety in pharmaceutical production.
• Quality control for confectionery, bakery, and snack foods.
• Foreign body detection in raw and processed meat, poultry, and fish.

Typical throughput

Units of this class commonly handle line speeds suitable for high-volume production.

Detection capabilities

Capable of detecting a wide range of contaminants including metals, glass, stone, and dense plastics.

Power supply

Typically requires a standard industrial three-phase power supply, commonly 400V AC, 50Hz.

Product dimensions

Suitable for inspecting a variety of packaged product sizes; specific aperture dimensions vary by configuration.

Reject system

This unit includes a knock-off reject system, common for removing contaminated products from the line.

Footprint

The overall footprint will depend on the specific conveyor length and reject mechanism, typically requiring a dedicated space within a production line.

• What types of products can this X-ray machine inspect?

Loma X4 systems are versatile and typically used for inspecting a wide range of packaged food products, including ready meals, baked goods, dairy, and confectionery, as well as pharmaceuticals.

• What contaminants can an X-ray machine detect?

• Is this unit suitable for my current production line speed?

• What are the typical maintenance requirements for an X-ray system?

• Does this machine come with safety interlocks?

X-ray inspection systems hold strong reputation in food processing quality control. Buyers typically value their ability to detect foreign contaminants and ensure product consistency. When purchasing used equipment, inspect calibration records, detector functionality, and compliance with current safety standards. Common strengths include reliable contaminant detection, minimal product damage compared to alternative methods, and established integration with production lines. Maintenance history and original manufacturer documentation prove important for ongoing performance and regulatory compliance.
