BTM/100/1200/M Single Pillar Mobile Drum Tipper

This Single Pillar Mobile Drum Tipper that is designed to lift and tip at a discharge height of 1200mm. The Mobile Drum Tipper is constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel and is fully TIG welded throughout. The lifting is achieved by a ¾” Simplex chain driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the main column. The Mobile Drum Tipper is fitted with our unique safety latch which engages automatically in the extremely unlikely event of a lift chain failure.

The Mobile Drum Tipper will be wheeled into position at the end of the flume and will locate using the flume support legs and brackets mounted on the base frame cross member on the lift. This will position the tipper such that the drum discharges on the centre line of the flume and with sufficient reach into the flume to prevent spillage. The lifting carriage will be a fixed stainless steel plate onto which the drums will be manoeuvred from the pallet. The lift carriage base plate will be at the same height as the pallet in the full down position.

Mobile Drum Tipper Electrical Control

This Mobile Drum Tipper is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the main column at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site. The unguarded machine operates on a ‘hold to run’ principle such that the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ pushbuttons must be held for the machine to operate. As soon as either button is released, the machine will stop. The control panel has a volt free pair of contacts which can be used to connect a ‘Call to Run’ signal if required.
