Multivac T200 Tray Sealer

• Suitable for small to medium-scale food packaging operations, including ready meals, fresh produce, and baked goods.
• Commonly used in catering facilities, delis, and small food production units requiring efficient tray sealing.
• Applicable for packaging medical devices or non-food items where a secure, hermetic seal is required.

Typical throughput

For this class of semi-automatic tray sealer, output commonly ranges from 3 to 15 trays per minute, depending on tray size and operator efficiency.

Construction material

Units of this type, especially from Multivac, typically feature stainless steel construction for hygiene and durability in food processing environments.

Maximum tray height

The Multivac T200 series commonly accommodates tray heights up to approximately 110mm, though exact specifications should be confirmed with the seller.

Power supply

Typically operates on a standard industrial single-phase or three-phase electrical supply, often 230V or 400V, with a pneumatic connection for sealing functions.

Footprint

As a semi-automatic benchtop or compact freestanding unit, the T200 typically requires a modest operational footprint, suitable for smaller production areas.

Sealing type

This model is designed for heat sealing film to pre-formed trays, often capable of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) if equipped with the relevant gas flushing options.

• What types of trays can this machine seal?

A Multivac T200 typically seals a variety of pre-formed trays made from materials such as PP, APET, CPET, and aluminium, using compatible sealing films. The specific tray dimensions and materials must match the machine's tooling.

• Is this machine suitable for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)?

• What kind of maintenance does a used Multivac T200 typically require?

• Can the tooling be changed for different tray sizes?

• What are the typical safety features on a Multivac T200?

Used sealing machines are generally valued for their durability and long operational life. Buyers typically prioritize machines with clear maintenance histories and minimal wear on sealing components. Key considerations include film compatibility, seal quality consistency, and ease of adjustment. Reputable models tend to retain functionality well across multiple applications. Industry sentiment suggests these machines offer strong value when sourced from reliable vendors, though operators should verify calibration settings and test seal integrity before full production use.
