Small Transfer Conveyor

• Moving small components between workstations in assembly lines.
• Transferring packaged goods in light-duty packing operations.
• Feeding or discharging small items from processing machinery.
• Integrating into existing production lines for short-distance material handling.

Typical belt width

For this class of small transfer conveyor, belt widths commonly range from 100mm to 300mm.

Typical length

Small transfer conveyors typically range from 1m to 3m in length.

Belt material

Polyurethane (PU) is a common belt material for its durability and resistance to oils and abrasions.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly operate on single-phase 230V, 50Hz power.

Throughput

Throughput is dependent on belt speed and item size, but these units are typically designed for light to medium loads.

Control features

Basic stop/start functionality is standard; some units may include variable speed control.

• What kind of items can this conveyor handle?

This type of conveyor is suitable for handling small, lightweight, and relatively stable items such as small boxes, components, or packaged goods. The PU belt is generally good for items that require a clean surface.

• Is this conveyor suitable for food contact applications?

• What maintenance is typically required for a small transfer conveyor?

• Can the speed of the conveyor be adjusted?

• What is the typical lifespan of a PU conveyor belt?

Buyers typically value conveyor systems for their reliability and longevity when well-maintained. Key considerations when purchasing used units include belt condition, motor functionality, frame integrity, and available spare parts. Industry sentiment emphasises the importance of verifying operational history and cleanliness standards, particularly for food handling applications. Common strengths include robust construction, relatively straightforward maintenance requirements, and cost savings versus new equipment. Reputable manufacturers' models tend to hold their value well and integrate readily into existing production lines.
