Stainless Steel Goods Lift

This Stainless Steel Goods Lift is a single pillar machine with a Safe Working Load of 300 Kgs and a lift height of 4140mm. The lifting platform was 900 x 1200mm to allow a mobile trolley to be wheeled onto the lifting platform. At the upper level, there was a landing plate to allow easy unloading. The Stainless Steel Goods Lift is constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel and is bolted to the floor and braced at the upper level. Lifting with the Stainless Steel Goods Lift is accomplished via a ¾” Duplex Chain driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the main column.

Safety Guard To PD 5304 Safety of Machinery

The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 2mm stainless steel on the front face only. The Stainless Steel Goods Lift was installed into an alcove and clad by others with foodsafe sandwich panels on both sides and the back to meet the requirements of PD 5304 Safety of Machinery. The guarding and cladding enclosed the Stainless Steel Goods Lift to a height of 6340mm with a hinged door at each level through which the trolleys were loaded and unloaded. Each door is electrically interlocked to prevent the Stainless Steel Goods Lift being operated with a door open and in addition, the doors are mechanically locked closed whilst the Stainless Steel Goods Lift is running. Each door may only be opened when the lifting carriage is at the appropriate level.
