What is the primary function of a Tetra Pak TBA 3-1000?

The Tetra Pak TBA 3-1000 is an aseptic filling machine designed to fill liquid food products into 1-litre Tetra Brik cartons, ensuring product safety and extended shelf life.

What does 'aseptic' mean in this context?

Aseptic refers to the process where both the product and packaging material are sterilised separately before filling in a sterile environment, preventing microbial contamination and allowing for ambient storage.

Can this machine handle different carton sizes?

While this specific listing mentions equipment for 1-litre bricks, machines of this series can often be configured for various volumes (e.g., 200ml, 500ml, 1000ml) with appropriate change parts. Buyers should confirm specific tooling included with the seller.

What kind of maintenance is typically required for a used Tetra Pak TBA 3-1000?

Regular preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of wear parts, is crucial. A revised unit should have undergone significant refurbishment, but ongoing scheduled maintenance is essential for optimal performance.

What ancillary equipment is usually needed to run a full line with this filler?

A complete line typically includes an upstream product steriliser (UHT/HTST), a downstream cap applicator (if applicable), conveyors, a shrink-wrapper, and a palletiser, as indicated in this listing.
