This listing is for a Thermo Scientific MaxQ 8000 Orbital shaker incubator
The unit is in full working condition and is ready for immediate release.
The Thermo Scientific MaxQ 8000 is an orbital shaker incubator — a piece of lab equipment that combines controlled shaking and temperature control in one unit. It’s designed for biological and biochemical workflows where maintaining both a constant temperature and agitation are important, such as:
Cell culture (bacteria, yeast, insect or mammalian cells)
Fermentation
Protein expression
Hybridization and DNA work
Solubility studies and other mixing tasks
How It Works
Orbital shaking: The platform inside moves in a circular (orbital) motion to mix or agitate samples evenly.
Temperature control: It incubates samples at controlled temperatures — typically from above ambient up to ~60 °C, and in refrigerated models also below ambient — so you can grow cultures or perform temperature-sensitive reactions.
Stackability: Units can be stacked 2–3 high to multiply capacity without using more floor space.
Key Features
Temperature range: Ambient +10 °C to ~60 °C (or lower if refrigerated version)
Speed range: ~25–400 rpm for shaking with accurate control
HEPA-filtered chamber: Promotes clean air and reduces cross-contamination risk inside the incubator for better culture conditions.
Slide-out platform: Makes loading and adjusting flasks easy.
Microprocessor controls: Digital display and alarms for monitoring temperature, speed, and time.
Typical Applications
Growing microbial or cell cultures
Protein expression studies
Hybridization reactions
Solubility assays
General mixing where precise temperature control is needed alongside agitation.
