PLM/400/1230/B Single Pillar Tote Bin Platform Lift

This Tote Bin Platform Lift was fitted with a 900 x 900mm lift platform to accept a 300 Litre Eurobin and lifted to a height of 1230mm to feed onto a platform. The lift platform was fitted with a hinged ramp at the lower level which allowed the bin to be loaded onto the platform. At the upper level there was a landing plate to bridge the gap from the lift carriage to the platform.

The Tote Bin Platform Lift is manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel, is a welded construction throughout and is designed to be bolted to the floor. The lifting is achieved by a 1” Simplex chain driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the main column. The unguarded Tote Bin Platform Lift is fitted with our unique safety latch which engages automatically in the extremely unlikely event of a lift chain failure.

Tote Bin Platform Lift Electrical Control

This Tote Bin Platform Lift is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the main column at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site. The unguarded Tote Bin Platform Lift operates on a ‘hold to run’ principle such that the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ pushbuttons must be held for the Tote Bin Platform Lift to operate. As soon as either button is released, the Tote Bin Platform Lift will stop.

Once a bin is loaded onto the lift platform, a hinged gate must be closed and latched which will make a magnetic switch allowing the Tote Bin Platform Lift to operate. At the upper level the existing hinged gate and interlock will be used and we will make provision within the control panel for the interlock to be connected.
