Tote Bin Tipper
BTM/250//M Single Pillar Tote Bin TipperThis Tote Bin Tipper is designed to lift and tip at a discharge height of 1400mm through the use of a bolt on additional tipping cam and also at a maximum height of 2800mm. Storage of the additional cam will be supplied as a pocket on the side of the main column. When the lower tip height is required the additional cam is bolted in place and the limit switch is plugged in to ensure that the Tote Bin Tipper stops at the correct position. The Tote Bin Tipper is manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel, is a welded construction throughout and is designed to be mobile on castors. The lifting is achieved by a ¾” Simplex chain driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the main column. The unguarded Tote Bin Tipper is fitted with our unique safety latch which engages automatically in the extremely unlikely event of a lift chain failure. Tote Bin Tipper Electrical ControlThis Tote Bin Tipper is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the main column at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned on the main column and are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site. The unguarded Tote Bin Tipper operates on a ‘hold to run’ principle such that the ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ pushbuttons must be held for the Tote Bin Tipper to operate. As soon as either button is released, the Tote Bin Tipper will stop. Installing the lower tipping cam will require the connection of the ‘new’ full up limit switch into the socket provided. Removal of the normal plug will be required to enable the additional limit to be connected in series with the normal full up limit switch. The control panel has a volt free pair of contacts which can be used to connect a ‘Call to Run’ signal if required. |
