2Mag - Waldner

• Used for precise volumetric or gravimetric filling of various food products into containers.
• Commonly found in small to medium-scale food processing operations for packaging meat products, sauces, or viscous liquids.
• Applicable in bakeries for dispensing batters or fillings, and in dairies for yoghurts or creams.
• Utilised in co-packing facilities requiring flexible changeovers for different product lines.

Typical capacity

For this class of used equipment, filling speeds typically range from 500 to 3,000 containers per hour, depending on product viscosity and fill volume.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with some models potentially operating on single-phase.

Filling mechanism

Often features piston, rotary lobe, or gear pump mechanisms, suitable for viscous or semi-solid food products.

Product contact materials

Typically constructed with food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316L) for all parts in contact with the product, ensuring hygiene and corrosion resistance.

Container compatibility

Commonly adaptable for various container types, including jars, bottles, pouches, or trays, with change parts often required for different sizes.

Footprint

A compact footprint is common for this category, typically requiring a floor area of 1.5m x 1m to 2.5m x 1.5m, excluding infeed/outfeed conveyors.

• What types of products can this machine fill?

This category of machine is typically suitable for viscous and semi-viscous food products such as meat pastes, pâtés, sauces, jams, yoghurts, and purées. The specific product suitability depends on the pump type installed.

• Is this machine suitable for hot filling?

• What level of automation can be expected?

• Are spare parts readily available for 2Mag equipment?

• What maintenance is typically required?

Sausage fillers are valued for consistent product output and labour efficiency in meat processing operations. Buyers typically prioritise robust construction and stainless steel components for food safety compliance and hygiene standards. Key considerations when purchasing used equipment include motor condition, filling consistency, and maintenance history. Industry sentiment highlights reliability and ease of cleaning as significant strengths. Models with adjustable speed settings and straightforward operation tend to perform well in secondary markets. Establishing clear mechanical condition and operational verification prior to purchase remains essential for buyer confidence.
