BTH/1500/1450/M/G Dolav Box Tipper

This Dolav Box Tipper is designed to lift and tip a 600 Litre Plastic Dolav Container (1200 x 1000 x 780mm High) at a discharge height of 1450mm. The Dolav Box Tipper is constructed from Grade 316 stainless steel and is a TIG welded construction throughout. It was mobile on castors so that it can be positioned in different locations along a waste pool. This Dolav Box Tipper was powered via a hydraulic powerpack and tipped the containers by the extension of a pair of stainless steel hydraulic cylinders to an angle of 30 degrees past the horizontal. The hydraulic cylinders are fitted with a safety check valve such that even in the unlikely event of a hydraulic hose failure, the raised bin will not fall to the floor.

Safety Guard to BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards

This Dolav Box Tipper is supplied complete with a safety guard to meet the guidelines of BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards. The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 40 x 40mm aperture, 3mm wire stainless steel weld mesh, which encloses the machine to a height of 2200mm on two sides. The loading and unloading position is guarded using a Safety Light Barrier.

Dolav Box Tipper Electrical Control

This Dolav Box Tipper is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the main column at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site.

The control panel incorporates the following controls; Up, Down, Guard Release, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. There was also a wireless remote control facility that would allow a forklift driver to initiate the auto cycle of the Dolav Box Tipper from within the cab of the forklift without the need to exit.

Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site. The guarded Dolav Box Tipper operation is fully latched so that pressing the ‘Up’ push button once will raise the Dolav Box to the full tip position. Once the product has been discharged, after a short time period has lapsed, the Dolav Box Tipper will return to the full down position. The control panel has a volt free pair of contacts which can be used to connect a ‘Call to Run’ signal if required.
