What products is an Eillert Flume Washer best suited for?

These washers are ideal for delicate products like leaf salads, spinach, herbs, and other light vegetables due to their gentle washing action.

How does a flume washer work?

Products are introduced into a water bath where jets or pumps create a controlled flow, gently agitating and moving the produce to remove contaminants before being discharged.

Is this unit suitable for root vegetables?

While it can handle some root vegetables, flume washers are primarily designed for lighter, more delicate produce. For heavy root vegetables, a dedicated root washer or peeler might be more effective.

What maintenance is typically required for a used flume washer?

Regular cleaning, inspection of pumps and nozzles, and checking for wear on moving parts are common maintenance tasks. Buyers should always request a service history if available.

Can this washer be integrated into an existing processing line?

Yes, flume washers are designed for integration into continuous processing lines, often positioned before dewatering or drying equipment.
