Loma - CW3 Checkweigher with Airblast Reject

• Ensuring packaged food products meet specified weight tolerances in production lines.
• Minimising product giveaway and reducing waste in food processing operations.
• Identifying and removing under- or overweight items to maintain quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Integrating into automated packaging lines for continuous weight verification.
• Sorting products into different weight categories for specific applications.

Typical throughput

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from 60 to over 300 packs per minute, depending on product size and weight.

Weighing accuracy

Units of this type commonly offer accuracy down to +/- 0.5g, suitable for various food products.

Power supply

Typically requires a standard industrial single-phase supply, such as 230V, 50Hz, with a compressed air supply for the reject mechanism.

Reject mechanism

Airblast systems are common for lightweight or delicate products, providing a gentle yet effective rejection.

Construction materials

Commonly constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and durability in food environments.

Control interface

Units typically feature a touchscreen HMI for easy setup, recipe management, and data logging.

• What types of products can this checkweigher handle?

A checkweigher with an airblast reject is well-suited for a variety of packaged food items, particularly lighter products or those in flexible packaging, such as pouches, bags, or small cartons.

• Is this unit suitable for wet environments?

• What maintenance is typically required for a checkweigher?

• Can this checkweigher integrate with existing production lines?

• What are the benefits of an airblast reject system?

Checkweighers are valued in food processing for reliable weight verification and compliance support. Buyers typically prioritise accuracy, speed, and ease of integration with existing production lines. When purchasing used units, inspecting calibration history, mechanical condition, and software functionality proves important. Industry sentiment favours models offering consistent performance, straightforward maintenance, and robust build quality. Durable construction and proven track records across multiple production environments remain key considerations for buyers assessing secondhand equipment.
