What kind of steam supply is needed?

These kettles require a clean, dry steam supply, typically from a dedicated industrial boiler. Buyers should confirm pressure and flow requirements with the seller.

Is the mixing speed adjustable?

Units of this type commonly feature variable speed control for the agitator, allowing for different product viscosities and processing requirements. The seller can confirm specific controls.

What maintenance is typically required?

Routine maintenance typically involves cleaning, checking seals and gaskets, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting electrical and steam connections. Regular servicing ensures operational efficiency.

Can this kettle be used for cooling as well as heating?

While primarily designed for heating, some jacketed kettles can be adapted for cooling by circulating chilled water or glycol through the jacket, if designed for it. Buyers should verify this capability with the seller.

What are the typical safety features?

Common safety features include pressure relief valves for the steam jacket, emergency stop buttons, and interlocks to prevent operation during tilting or when access hatches are open. Specifics should be confirmed with the seller.

Typical context for this category of equipment. Always confirm specifics with the seller.

Used for batch cooking and mixing of liquid or semi-liquid food products.
Suitable for preparing sauces, soups, stews, and confectionery items in commercial kitchens or food production facilities.
Employed in the pharmaceutical industry for mixing and heating certain formulations.
Utilised in chemical processing for controlled heating and agitation of various compounds.

Typical capacity: This unit is specified at 800 litres; units in this class commonly range from 100 to 1,500 litres.
Heating method: Requires an external steam supply for jacketed heating, typically operating at pressures suitable for industrial applications.
Mixing mechanism: Features an integrated agitator, commonly with variable speed control, suitable for viscous products.
Discharge method: Equipped with a tilting mechanism for efficient product discharge, common for units of this size.
Construction material: Typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and durability.
Power supply for controls/mixing: Commonly requires a 3-phase electrical supply (e.g., 400V, 50Hz) for the agitator motor and control panel.
Footprint: For this class of equipment, a significant floor area is typically required to accommodate the kettle, tilting mechanism, and operational space.

Used cooking vessels and kettles are valued in food processing for reliable thermal performance when properly maintained. Buyers typically prioritise construction quality, material condition, and heating system functionality. Key considerations include capacity specifications, internal surface condition, and seal integrity. These units generally offer good value when sourced from reputable previous operators. Industry sentiment favours equipment with documented service history and minimal corrosion. Stainless steel variants are particularly sought after for durability and hygiene compliance in commercial food preparation environments.
