What is a bratt pan primarily used for?

A bratt pan is a versatile piece of commercial kitchen equipment used for multiple cooking processes including braising, boiling, steaming, stewing, roasting, and shallow frying large quantities of food.

What are the advantages of a gas-powered bratt pan?

Gas-powered bratt pans often offer rapid heat-up times and can be more cost-effective to run in some commercial settings compared to electric models, depending on energy tariffs.

What maintenance is typically required for a used bratt pan?

Regular cleaning is essential. For used units, buyers should check the condition of seals, controls, and the tilting mechanism, and ensure gas connections are safe and compliant.

Can this unit be used for deep frying?

While bratt pans can be used for shallow frying, their design and heating characteristics are not typically suited for deep frying, which requires precise temperature control and oil depth.

What should I consider regarding the 'repaired controls' option?

Opting for repaired controls typically ensures the unit is fully functional and meets operational safety standards upon delivery. Buyers should confirm the scope of the repair and any warranty provided.
