What maintenance is typically required for Nordson hot melt pumps?

Routine maintenance typically involves cleaning the melt tank, checking filters, inspecting hoses and nozzles for blockages or wear, and ensuring seals are intact. Regular preventative maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Can these pumps be integrated into existing production lines?

Yes, Nordson Durablue pumps are designed for integration into various automated packaging and assembly lines. They commonly feature standard electrical and pneumatic interfaces for straightforward connection.

What types of adhesives are compatible with these units?

These units are generally compatible with most commercially available hot melt adhesives, including EVA, metallocene, and pressure-sensitive types. Buyers should verify compatibility with their specific adhesive formulation.

Are spare parts readily available for Nordson Durablue systems?

Nordson is a major manufacturer, and spare parts for Durablue systems are generally available through Nordson distributors or specialist suppliers. Common wear parts include nozzles, filters, and seals.

What safety considerations are important when operating hot melt equipment?

Key safety considerations include proper PPE (gloves, eye protection), awareness of high operating temperatures, safe handling of hot melt adhesive, and ensuring adequate ventilation. Operators should follow manufacturer safety guidelines.
