Fish Tech Solutions offers a fully integrated in-line defrosting system using proven technology to increase productivity and product quality. The solution eliminates all tanks (tubs) in the defrosting process, while limiting the movement of forklifts. Defrosting and equalizing the temperature in the product takes place in the thawing tunnel and spinners that can be integrated in the line with the further processing of the fish. The system provides raw material with a constant temperature of around -1°C, which is optimal for further processing of fish, resulting in better yields, line optimization and water retention in the product. Features include full control of temperature and time, high yield through quick and fully controlled defrosting process that minimizes water loss, product quality through low thawing temperature that reduces risk of bacterial growth and damage to external surfaces, single operator requirement, and hygienic design with optional water filtration system for recycling and purification. The defroster is designed for both fish and vegetables depending on options. It is a tunnel type device with performance dependent on the product and its transit time. The product is thawed by spraying with water heated to 7-13°C in a closed circuit system cleaned by coarse filters and rotosito. Water is heated with saturated steam. The product is placed on conveyor (1), sprayed with water from one side, then slides down onto lower conveyor (2) where it is turned over and sprayed from the other side.
