What is a steam exchange system?

A steam exchange system uses steam to heat the wash water, providing an efficient and often more hygienic method for industrial washing and sanitising processes.

What are the benefits of a JEROS EX system?

Jeros systems are known for robust construction and effective cleaning. The 'EX' designation typically refers to their steam exchange technology, offering efficient heating and potentially lower running costs where steam is readily available.

Is this unit suitable for my specific product?

The suitability depends on the items you need to wash and their material. Buyers should confirm with the seller whether the unit's internal dimensions and wash programmes are appropriate for their specific application.

What maintenance is typically required for a used unit?

Regular maintenance for used units includes checking seals, pumps, nozzles, and heating elements. Descaling and general cleaning are also crucial to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Can this unit be integrated into an existing wash line?

Many industrial washing machines, including those from Jeros, are designed for standalone operation or integration. Buyers should discuss their specific integration requirements with the seller.

Typical context for this category of equipment. Always confirm specifics with the seller.

Industrial bakeries for sanitising baking trays, racks, and utensils.
Food processing plants for cleaning equipment components and containers.
Catering facilities for high-volume dish and utensil sterilisation.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing for maintaining hygiene standards on non-product contact surfaces.

Typical capacity: Varies significantly by model, but units of this type are designed for industrial-scale throughput of various items.
Power supply: Commonly requires a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with varying amperage depending on heating elements and pump power.
Heating method: Steam exchange systems utilise steam for heating water, often sourced from a central plant or an integrated steam generator.
Water consumption: Units of this class are designed for efficient water use, with consumption varying based on cycle length and wash programme.
Construction material: Typically constructed from stainless steel (e.g., AISI 304 or 316) for hygiene, durability, and corrosion resistance in wet environments.
Footprint: Dimensions vary widely depending on the specific model and capacity, ranging from compact standalone units to larger inline systems.

For food processing washing and sanitizing equipment, buyers typically value durability, ease of cleaning, and compliance with hygiene standards. Industry sentiment emphasizes the importance of verifying spray patterns, material quality, and maintenance history when purchasing used units. Stainless steel construction and reliable pump performance are considered key strengths. Buyers should check for corrosion, seal condition, and documentation of regular servicing to ensure food safety compliance.
