Koppens UM900 Ball Roller

• Forming spherical products from various food masses, such as meat, fish, or vegetable mixes.
• Producing uniform meatballs, croquettes, or similar round items for catering or retail.
• Integration into automated production lines for high-volume food processing.
• Use in facilities requiring consistent product shape and weight for portion control.

Belt width

This unit features a 900mm wide belt, which is common for medium to high-capacity forming.

Construction material

Typically constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and durability in food processing environments.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can vary significantly based on product size and feed material, but units commonly process hundreds of kilograms per hour.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, though specific requirements should be confirmed with the seller.

Product diameter range

Ball rollers are generally adjustable to produce spherical products within a typical diameter range, often from 10mm to 60mm, depending on the tooling.

Footprint

While exact dimensions vary, a unit with a 900mm wide belt will have a significant footprint, typically requiring several square metres of floor space.

• What types of products can a Koppens UM900 typically form?

This machine is designed for forming spherical products, most commonly meatballs, but can also be adapted for other round items made from suitable pliable food masses.

• Is this machine suitable for non-meat products?

• What maintenance is typically required for a ball roller?

• Can the size of the formed product be adjusted?

• What are the typical hygiene standards for this equipment?

Forming machines are regarded as reliable workhorses in food processing facilities. Buyers typically value consistent output quality and durability when selecting used units. Key considerations include checking wear on forming dies, verifying production speed capabilities, and assessing maintenance history. These machines generally perform well with minimal downtime when properly maintained. Common strengths include straightforward operation, compatibility with various food products, and long operational lifespan. Inspecting hydraulic systems and electrical components thoroughly before purchase remains essential.
