TUBE AND MARINE DEPOSITOR

• Used for precise volumetric dispensing of viscous products into various containers.
• Commonly employed in the food industry for sauces, purees, and ready meals.
• Utilised in the pharmaceutical sector for creams, gels, and pastes.
• Applicable in cosmetic manufacturing for lotions and thick liquid products.
• Suitable for industrial applications requiring controlled dosing of sealants or adhesives.

Typical capacity

Throughput for depositors of this class typically ranges from 10 to 60 deposits per minute, depending on product viscosity and deposit volume.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, with a compressed air supply for pneumatic components.

Footprint

The overall footprint for a depositor with a 1m depositing tube and rise and fall frame typically requires approximately 1.5m x 1m of floor space, plus access for operators.

Product viscosity range

Depositors with double screw feed are typically suitable for a wide range of medium to high viscosity products, including those with particulates.

Deposit volume accuracy

For this class of equipment, deposit volume accuracy is typically high, often within +/- 1-2% depending on product consistency and machine calibration.

Construction materials

Components in contact with product are typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and corrosion resistance.

• What does 'double screw feed' mean for this depositor?

A double screw feed system typically ensures consistent and positive feeding of viscous or semi-solid products into the depositing mechanism, reducing bridging and improving accuracy.

• How does the 'rise and fall frame' benefit operation?

• What is the significance of 'no product no deposit' functionality?

• Can this depositor handle products with particulates?

• What level of cleaning and maintenance is typically required?

Food depositors are valued for their precision, consistency and reliability in portioning applications across bakery, confectionery and prepared foods sectors. Buyers typically prioritise machines with minimal wear, clear maintenance histories and compatible control systems. Key strengths include durability when properly serviced, adaptability to various product viscosities, and straightforward operation. When purchasing used equipment, inspecting nozzles, pumps and pneumatic components is essential, as wear directly affects deposit accuracy. Machines from reputable manufacturers with documented service records generally command buyer confidence and deliver strong long-term value.
