What is the typical footprint for a 15kg coffee roaster?

The footprint can vary significantly, but buyers should anticipate needing a dedicated space of at least 2m x 2m for the roaster and associated equipment like the cyclone.

What kind of ventilation is required for a coffee roaster?

Proper ventilation, including an exhaust system to remove smoke and chaff, is crucial. This typically involves ducting to an external vent and a cyclone for chaff collection.

Can this type of roaster be converted to run on different gas types?

While this unit is set up for LPG, conversion to natural gas is often possible but requires professional modification and certification by a qualified gas engineer.

What maintenance is typically involved with a vintage coffee roaster?

Regular cleaning of the drum, cooling tray, and chaff collector is essential. Mechanical components like bearings and belts may require periodic inspection and lubrication.

Is training usually required to operate a professional coffee roaster?

Yes, operating a commercial coffee roaster effectively requires training in roasting principles, profile development, and machine operation to achieve consistent results.
