What are the benefits of flake ice?

Flake ice offers a large surface area for rapid cooling, is soft and mouldable to prevent damage to delicate products, and has a low sub-cooling temperature for extended preservation.

What maintenance is typically required for an ice machine?

Regular maintenance includes cleaning the evaporator, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting water filters, and ensuring all electrical connections are secure. Specific schedules depend on usage.

Can this machine be used for purposes other than fish processing?

Yes, flake ice machines are versatile and commonly used across various food processing sectors, chemical industries, and even for concrete cooling, where rapid and consistent cooling is essential.

What are the considerations for installation?

Installation requires appropriate electrical and water connections, drainage, and often a dedicated space with adequate ventilation. Professional installation is recommended to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Is a water treatment system necessary?

While not always mandatory, a water treatment system can significantly extend the life of the machine and improve ice quality by reducing mineral build-up and impurities.

Typical capacity: For this class of equipment, units commonly produce around 2000kg of ice per 24 hours.
Ice type: This unit produces flake ice, known for its rapid cooling and gentle nature on products.
Refrigerant: Units of this era typically use common industrial refrigerants, but buyers should confirm the specific type with the seller.
Power supply: Industrial ice machines commonly require a 3-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz.
Footprint: Dimensions vary, but units producing 2000kg/day are generally substantial, requiring dedicated plant room space.
Cooling method: Most industrial flake ice machines are water-cooled or air-cooled; buyers should ascertain the method for this specific unit.

Flake ice offers a large surface area for rapid cooling, is soft and mouldable to prevent damage to delicate products, and has a low sub-cooling temperature for extended preservation.

Fish equipment in food processing is generally well-regarded for durability and reliability when maintained properly. Buyers typically value robust construction and ease of cleaning. When purchasing used fish processing equipment, buyers should inspect for corrosion, verify mechanical functionality, and confirm hygiene compliance standards. Common strengths include longevity with proper maintenance, straightforward operation, and cost effectiveness compared to new alternatives. Stainless steel components and established brand reliability are frequently prioritized considerations in the secondhand market.
