Joper CPA 120 Coffee Roasting Line

• Used by medium-scale coffee roasteries for batch roasting green coffee beans.
• Suitable for businesses looking to expand their roasting capacity or upgrade existing equipment.
• Often integrated into a complete coffee processing line, including destoners and grinders.
• Utilised for producing various roast profiles, from light to dark, for commercial distribution.

Typical capacity

For this model class, batch capacities are typically around 120 kg per roast cycle.

Power supply

Commonly requires a three-phase electrical supply, typically 400V, 50Hz, for industrial operation.

Heating method

Units of this type typically use gas (natural gas or LPG) for the roasting process, with electrical components for controls and motors.

Cooling system

Includes an integrated cooling tray and fan system to rapidly cool roasted beans, preventing over-roasting.

Control system

Modern units often feature PLC-based controls for precise temperature and airflow management, though older models may have manual controls.

Footprint

A roasting line of this capacity typically requires a dedicated space, often several square meters, to accommodate the roaster, destoner, and associated equipment.

• What is included in a 'coffee roasting line'?

A 'coffee roasting line' typically includes the roaster itself, a destoner to remove foreign objects from green beans, and a cooling tray. Additional components like afterburners or loaders may also be part of a complete line.

• What utilities are required to operate this type of roaster?

• Can this roaster handle different types of coffee beans?

• What maintenance is typically involved with a used coffee roaster?

• Is installation support usually available for such equipment?

Used roasters are valued for their durability and cost effectiveness in food processing operations. Buyers typically prioritise even heat distribution, temperature control consistency, and robust construction when selecting secondhand units. Industry sentiment favours roasters from established manufacturers known for reliable performance. Key considerations include maintenance history, heating element condition, and capacity matching operational requirements. Well-maintained roasters often deliver dependable service across coffee roasting, nut processing, and other food applications, making them sound investments for processors seeking to minimise capital expenditure.
