Neotec 1Kg Laboratory Roaster

• Developing roast profiles for new coffee beans or blends.
• Quality control and sensory evaluation in coffee production.
• Small-batch roasting for specialty coffee shops or micro-roasteries.
• Educational purposes in coffee training centres.
• Research and development in food science laboratories.

Typical capacity

Units in this class are designed for laboratory-scale batches, commonly around 1kg per roast cycle.

Power supply

Electric laboratory roasters typically operate on standard single-phase or three-phase industrial power, commonly 230V or 400V.

Heating method

This type of roaster commonly uses electric heating elements for precise temperature control.

Control system

Laboratory roasters often feature integrated control panels for managing roast parameters such as drum speed, airflow, and temperature.

Footprint

For this class of equipment, the footprint is generally compact, suitable for laboratory or small production environments.

Material construction

Components in contact with coffee beans are typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel to ensure hygiene and durability.

• What maintenance is typically required for a laboratory roaster?

Routine maintenance commonly involves cleaning the roasting drum, chaff collector, and cooling tray. Periodic inspection of heating elements and control systems is also advisable.

• Can this roaster handle different types of coffee beans?

• What kind of ventilation is needed for a roaster of this size?

• Is specialist training required to operate a laboratory roaster?

• What is the typical roast time for a 1kg batch?

Used roasters are valued for their durability and cost effectiveness in food processing operations. Buyers typically prioritise even heat distribution, temperature control consistency, and robust construction when selecting secondhand units. Industry sentiment favours roasters from established manufacturers known for reliable performance. Key considerations include maintenance history, heating element condition, and capacity matching operational requirements. Well-maintained roasters often deliver dependable service across coffee roasting, nut processing, and other food applications, making them sound investments for processors seeking to minimise capital expenditure.
