Off Shell Prawn Peeling Machine

• Used in seafood processing plants for high-volume prawn preparation.
• Suitable for food service providers requiring peeled prawns for ready meals or catering.
• Utilised in aquaculture operations for post-harvest processing.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput commonly ranges from 100-500 kg/hour, depending on prawn size and machine configuration.

Power supply

Units of this type typically require a 3-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, with power consumption varying by model.

Construction material

Machinery for food processing, including this unit, is typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel (e.g., 304 or 316) for hygiene and durability.

Footprint

The footprint for a machine of this type can vary significantly, but typically requires a dedicated area of approximately 2-5 square metres.

Water consumption

Prawn peeling machines often utilise water for cleaning and transport, with consumption rates varying based on operation and design.

Suitable prawn sizes

Units are commonly designed to handle a range of prawn sizes; buyers should confirm the specific grade suitability with the seller.

• What types of prawns can this machine process?

Prawn peeling machines are typically designed to process various species of coldwater and warmwater prawns. Buyers should confirm the specific size and species suitability with the seller for this MkV model.

• What is the typical yield of peeled prawns?

• Are spare parts readily available for Off Shell MkV machines?

• What are the maintenance requirements for this type of equipment?

• Can this machine be integrated into an existing processing line?

Fish equipment in food processing is generally well-regarded for durability and reliability when maintained properly. Buyers typically value robust construction and ease of cleaning. When purchasing used fish processing equipment, buyers should inspect for corrosion, verify mechanical functionality, and confirm hygiene compliance standards. Common strengths include longevity with proper maintenance, straightforward operation, and cost effectiveness compared to new alternatives. Stainless steel components and established brand reliability are frequently prioritized considerations in the secondhand market.
