Probat G120

• Commercial coffee roasting operations requiring consistent batch processing.
• Specialty coffee businesses focusing on medium to large production volumes.
• Coffee companies needing to roast various bean types and profiles.
• Industrial food processing facilities with dedicated coffee production lines.

Typical batch capacity

For this class, units typically handle batches around 120 kg of green coffee.

Roasting time

Commonly ranges from 12 to 20 minutes per batch, depending on desired roast profile.

Heating method

Units of this type typically utilise gas (natural gas or LPG) for heating, often with a combination of convective and conductive heat transfer.

Power supply

Typically requires a three-phase electrical supply, commonly 400V, 50Hz, for motors and controls.

Cooling system

Integrated cooling systems are standard, designed to rapidly cool roasted beans to prevent over-roasting.

Controls

Modern units often feature advanced PLC or computerised controls for precise temperature and airflow management.

Footprint

Requires a significant industrial footprint, typically several square metres, plus space for green bean storage and roasted coffee handling.

• Are spare parts readily available for Probat G120 models?

Used roasters are valued for their durability and cost effectiveness in food processing operations. Buyers typically prioritise even heat distribution, temperature control consistency, and robust construction when selecting secondhand units. Industry sentiment favours roasters from established manufacturers known for reliable performance. Key considerations include maintenance history, heating element condition, and capacity matching operational requirements. Well-maintained roasters often deliver dependable service across coffee roasting, nut processing, and other food applications, making them sound investments for processors seeking to minimise capital expenditure.
