Effective ventilation is crucial. It typically requires a dedicated exhaust system to remove smoke and chaff, with ducting sized appropriately for the roaster's output.

Can this roaster be converted to natural gas?

Yes, Probatone roasters designed for gas can often be converted between LPG and natural gas, but this requires a certified technician and specific conversion kits. Buyers should confirm with the seller or manufacturer.

What maintenance is typically involved with a Probatone 5?

Regular maintenance includes cleaning the chaff collector, inspecting burner components, checking belts and bearings, and ensuring all safety systems are operational. Annual professional servicing is recommended.

Is training usually provided with the purchase of a used roaster?
