Unifood SP60J Back Bone Scraper

• Used in fish processing plants for efficient removal of fish backbones.
• Suitable for operations requiring high throughput of filleted fish.
• Applied in facilities producing fish products such as fillets, surimi, or fish meal.
• Utilised in seafood factories aiming to maximise yield from fish carcases.

Typical capacity

For this class of equipment, throughput can typically range from several hundred kilograms to over a tonne per hour, depending on fish size and type.

Power supply

Units of this type commonly require a 3-phase industrial power supply, typically 400V, 50Hz.

Construction material

Machinery for food processing, including back bone scrapers, is typically constructed from food-grade stainless steel for hygiene and durability.

Footprint

The footprint for a Unifood SP60J or similar model typically requires a dedicated area within a processing line, often around 1.5m x 1m.

Water consumption

Units often require a continuous water supply for cleaning and lubrication during operation, with consumption varying based on usage.

Maintenance requirements

Regular cleaning and inspection of moving parts, belts, and blades are typically required to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.

• What types of fish can this machine process?

Backbone scrapers like the Unifood SP60J are typically designed for a range of medium to large fish species, but specific suitability depends on the fish dimensions and machine configuration. Buyers should confirm with the seller for their particular fish species.

• Is this machine suitable for continuous operation?

• What are the typical safety features on such equipment?

• How easy is it to clean and sanitise?

• Are spare parts readily available for Unifood equipment?

Fish equipment in food processing is generally well-regarded for durability and reliability when maintained properly. Buyers typically value robust construction and ease of cleaning. When purchasing used fish processing equipment, buyers should inspect for corrosion, verify mechanical functionality, and confirm hygiene compliance standards. Common strengths include longevity with proper maintenance, straightforward operation, and cost effectiveness compared to new alternatives. Stainless steel components and established brand reliability are frequently prioritized considerations in the secondhand market.
